Sprinkle Family Maternity Session Ellwood House DeKalb Illinois Summer 2021

Have I mentioned how much I love the Sprinkle family? I think I have been documenting them for over 7 years now! Which is just crazy to me. I am so grateful I get to be a part of so many incredible moments for their family.

We met up at the Ellwood House in DeKalb for some family and maternity photos one evening. The grounds, especially the gardens are just gorgeous! Plus it was a perfect golden hour. We did a lot of following Jack and Libby around. Family sessions with me are very much child led so while I do give suggestions on where to go and what to do, we do spend a lot of time letting the kids be in charge of what happens :) And honestly, that is where some magic is created. When Jack wants John to fling him in the air or when Libby snuggles up against Gretchen. These are all unprompted moments that I am so happy I captured.

If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you would have seen that Gretchen had the baby! And it was a boy. His name is Samuel and he is just so cute :) I cannot wait to share more from their in home session soon!
