Liz and Ray Maternity Session Afton Forest Preserve DeKalb Illinois

Liz and Ray are going to be parents!! I remember back in March when I got an email from Liz saying she was pregnant. It was the week before her rescheduled wedding and she wanted to give me the heads up. I was SO excited for them. Even more so because I knew we were also pregnant :) But I kept that a little secret so I didn’t steal any thunder from their day.

During couples’ portraits, we snuck away to take a few photos with the ultrasound so they could use it to announce to their family and friends. Well, they had an even bigger surprise because they had just found out they were having twins! Ray got his wish! We could not believe it especially since Liz said twins do not run in their family at all.

I am so happy that they decided to do a maternity session. The night we met up at Afton it was getting ready to storm. Luckily the weather held out until we were driving home but that stormy light made for some gorgeous settings. I think I will forever be obsessed with this session.

The boys should be here any day now and I am just so excited for them!! Can’t wait to meet them :)
