Lex and I and the flowering trees of Wilder Park Elmhurst Illinois Spring 2021

While fall may be my favorite season of all, one of my favorite times of year is when these flowers appear on trees. It will have happened almost overnight and all of the sudden, everywhere you look there are flowering trees. Its so freaking beautiful!! So I make it a mission every year to make sure I document the trees in some form. It was supposed to rain a bunch all weekend and didn't even up being too bad. I told Lex that if the weather held out on Sunday we should explore Elmhurst and do a little photo walk. We picked up some drinks from our favorite coffee and tea shop in town called Brewpoint and then we tree hopped!

While these trees are absolutely gorgeous, I think it is more proof that you really don’t need a huge grand space or location to create some beautiful imagery. We really just picked parts of the trees we found that had the most flowers and utilized those to fill the backdrop. And boy, do they look magical! Also, how handsome is my husband??
