New Edits Mackenzie Maeder Photo and Video Chicago
Finding the right editing style for your work can take time. Several years ago, probably 7 or 8 I sat down one night and worked really hard to mimic the editing style of a photographer I had admired. I felt like I was finally bringing what I saw in my head to life! But even after that I would still tweak and rework the edits. My goal always was to create vibrant and colorful work. But true to an artist, you feel like your work is never right and there is always room for improvement.
It wasn’t until the last year or so where I finally found the right editing steps to create the look I wanted to achieve. I love the moody but colorful way my photos look now! And falling in love with this style and creating my own “preset” has allowed me to decrease my editing time and finish galleries sooner. I am sure I will continue to work and improve my editing and it will always be evolving but the one thing will remain: colors will be true to life and that moment. Colors will be vibrant. And there will be a moody feel to them!
Every so often I will pull photos from previous galleries and edit them again in my new style to either add to my site or share on social media one day. I’ve got a big folder of images I’ve been pulling and wanted to share a few.
Happy scrolling!
