Sauter Family DeKalb Illinois Fall Farm Session

I love a good family session. I think it is so important to have photos of your loved ones no matter the age! Over the last few years I have been photographing families with younger kids so this was a fun “challenge” to work with the Sauters! I actually took their photos maybe 8-10 years ago which feels like FOREVER ago. Most of them were high school age or younger. It was so funny to look back on those photos and see how much they have grown up. And how much my photography has improved since then! Growth is an amazing thing.

One of the things that I really loved about this session was being able to shoot at their home and farm. There is something so special about doing family photos in a place that means something to you. And the fact that we got to hangout during golden hour in their cool private cornfield was so much fun.

If you want a good laugh, these are some of the photos I took all those years ago! I am sure they appreciated the photos but boy am I happy with their new gallery.
